Porsche Design 911 Soundbar Porsche Design turns the rear silencer and twin exhaust from the 911 GT3 into a 200-watt stereo soundbar to give your media center an automotive flair.

The rumbling rasp of a high-performance sports car always makes for a satisfying sound and the Porsche 911 GT3’s engine can unleash an aggressive growl with the best of them. Much as we love hearing that, however, spending the day listening to nothing but rumbling noise just doesn’t seem like the most relaxing way to spend time. Fortunately, that’s not the only sound you’ll hear from Porsche Design’s 911 Soundbar, a speaker system fashioned from the same rear silencer and twin exhaust used in the 911 GT3.

We’re not entirely sure if it will fit under your TV without obscuring it, but if you can work out the placement, this thing looks like the perfect speakers to adorn any gearhead’s media cabinet. I mean, the darn thing looks like it was welded in a garage instead of a sterile factory floor, making for a gritty-looking audio hardware that brings a style all its own.

The Porsche Design 911 Soundbar is a 200-watt speaker with 2.1 virtual surround for adding an extra aural dimension to your movie and TV viewing. It can accept audio over one analog and two digital inputs, along with Bluetooth for streaming music from your phone or tablet. Features include an included remote, bass and treble control, DTS TruSurround processing, a subwoofer output, and 74 x 28 x 32 cm dimensions. Sadly, it doesn’t come with built-in audio of the 911 GT3’s rumbling growl, although you can always download a snippet of the sound and stream it to the speaker non-stop.
