Aether Mulholland Motorcycle Jacket Aether's new moto jacket comes with discreet padding and an everyday style that makes it as suited for a night out as it is for everyday riding.

Some moto jackets make you look like you’re about to participate in a televised race. Others make you look like you ride with a motorcycle gang or about to embark on a three-month motorcycle tour of a treacherous mountain range. If none of those things sound all that appealing, maybe you’ll appreciate the Aether Mulholland Motorcycle Jacket.

Billed as a “quietly technical” motorcycle jacket, the garment delivers the necessary protection on the bike without looking out of place during dinner or a night out. From discrete padding and hidden vents to the tough three-layer construction, this thing offers adequate shielding for the hazards of the road, all while wearing nicely with your best-looking pair of motorcycle jeans. Seriously, the darn thing looks like a normal jacket you won’t mind slipping into every day of the week.

The Aether Mulholland Motorcycle Jacket is made with three layers of heavy Japanese nylon fabric, giving it a durable that should withstand the hazards of motorcycle riding, whether you spend your days atop the steed commuting around the city or caravanning with a group during weekends. It gets pockets on the back, shoulders, and elbows for inserting the included D30 Ghost body armor, giving you a shock-absorbing layer for those times you crash, skid, or otherwise find yourself getting dragged across the hard road surface.

As you well know, nylon is a really good at keeping water out, so this should keep you reasonably dry underneath the jacket. Even better, it’s got taped seams, so moisture won’t be able to seep in from the tiniest cracks in the stitching, ensuring it’s adequately sealed for those times you find yourself riding during the wetter days of the year. For riding in hot weather, it’s got zippered vents at the front of the pits and a pair around the back, giving hot air a way out to keep you from sweating up a veritable pond.

The Aether Mulholland Motorcycle Jacket has articulated sleeves that allow you to move your shoulders and arms freely, with zippered gusseted sleeves, in case you want extra ventilation to get in from the cuffs. It has a two-way zipper closure out front, complete with cover tabs both on top and bottom, so you can cover the zipper pulls to keep them from scratching the bike, along with a host of zippered and snap button pockets both inside and outside (seven in total) for stashing your stuff. Some of the pockets even have soft lining to keep them from scratching your phone and sunglasses, while the handwarmer pockets are designed to expand to accommodate your hands comfortably.

Other features include a leather interior collar, brushed tricot fabric lining in the inner pockets, and a regular fit that allows for layering underneath without being too loose. Yeah, it’s got that sporty moto jacket silhouette that you’re probably familiar with. It’s available in three colors, namely brown, green, and navy.

The Aether Mulholland Motorcycle Jacket is available now in six sizes, priced at $650.
