Massage guns are amazing, allowing you to perform serious pain-relieving therapy even when you’re all on your own. Problem is, it’s really pretty awkward to use when treating hard-to-reach areas like your back, your hamstrings, or your feet, requiring you to twist, stretch, and contort your bod in uncomfortable ways. The Lifepro Massage Gun Extender makes it just a little easier.
You can think of it like a selfie stick for massage guns. Except, instead of mounting a phone or a camera, the stick is designed to hold a standard massage gun, allowing you to reach those difficult areas without having to stretch and contort your body in the most awkward ways.
The Lifepro Massage Gun Extender consists of a stick with an adjustable shaft and a removable curved head designed to mount any percussive massager using a pair of integrated straps. The straps can be placed either at the top or the bottom sides of the head, which allows it to work with the different form factors of massage guns, whether it be the most common pistol shapes (e.g. Hypervolt) or the ones with triangular grips (e.g. Therabody). Using the accessory, you can reach, pretty much, any part of your body with the massage gun, making it an invaluable tool for those who use one on the regular.
While you can hold the accessory directly on the stick, it also includes an attachable grip that’s situated perpendicular to the stick. From what we can tell, using that additional grip will allow for even better ergonomics, as it allows you to reach awkward spots while keeping your arms at a pretty relaxed position. You can also use both hands, one on the stick and another on the second grip, in case you need the extra support to keep things more stable.
The Lifepro Massage Gun Extender measures 21 inches long when fully extended, so it gets you more than a foot and a half of extra reach, making every part of your body easily treatable without having to do any twisting or contorting. It also weighs just 1.8 pounds, so you should be able to handle it without much trouble even if you just spent the past two hours going through a grueling workout. When collapsed, it shrinks down to 8.25 inches, making it reasonably portable. It comes with its own carrying case, by the way, which measures 8.25 x 12.5 x 2.5 inches (width x height x depth). Yep, it’s like carrying a lunch box, which should be worth it if you want the ability to use a massage gun comfortably on any body part.
Construction is aluminum for the tubes, rubber foam for the grips, and plastic for the accessory components, so it should offer decent durability. We do wish there was a way to adjust the settings in the middle of a massage (like a remote of sorts), but we guess that would be a little too much to ask.
