Pantheone Obsidian Designed to mimic the shape of its namesake volcanic glass, this Bluetooth speaker looks more like a sculpture piece than AV equipment.

Not too fond of the boring round, cylindrical, and boxy shapes of your typical household speaker? We can’t blame you – the similar designs do feel uninspiring after a while. If you’re ready for something with a more unique aesthetic, we have a feeling you’ll appreciate the Pantheone Obsidian.

According to the outfit, the Bluetooth speaker’s shape is designed to mimic the naturally-occurring form of its namesake volcanic glass, giving it a unique faceted teardrop design that just looks so much nicer than the same tired speaker shapes you’ll normally find. Seriously, it looks more like a sculpture piece than AV equipment, making for a genuine upgrade as far as aesthetics are concerned.

The Pantheone Obsidian has a housing constructed from handmade polished resin and ABS plastic, with a premium acoustic fabric serving as a raised and faceted speaker grille. Under that sculptural shell, it’s equipped with two one-inch silk dome tweeters and a 5.25-inch subwoofer, each of which is powered by two 20W and one 40W class D amplifiers, respectively. According to the outfit, it produces a fully-immersive listening experience that’s both effortless and breathtaking, giving you space to really appreciate the subtle nuances in sound.

It can stream music over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2, so it should work, regardless of whatever music sources you plan to use over a wireless connection. There are illuminated touch controls out front for managing playback, although it also comes with a companion app for access to more detailed functions. It’s able to connect wirelessly to the outfit’s other speakers, too, for multi-room audio, so you can listen to the same tunes while moving around the house. Other features include built-in Alexa voice assistant, a rechargeable battery rated at 15 hours between charges, and two colors options, black and white.

The Pantheone Obsidian is available now, priced at $1,699.
