Satechi USB-C Slim Dock For 24-Inch iMac Designed for 2021 iMacs, Satechi's newest hub lets you add ports and extra SSD storage seamlessly.

Last year, Apple released their refreshed iMac, which came with a slimmer body, an assortment of colors, and an M1 chip. Yep, it’s the iMac that made you want to finally upgrade. If you did, you might be thinking of adding an extra port hub to let you plug in a whole lot more accessories to your new all-in-one. For that, the Satechi USB-C Slim Dock For 24-Inch iMac has you covered.

Designed specifically for the 2021 iMac, the device is built to integrate seamlessly with the all-in-one’s stand, making it a near-seamless addition to anyone’s iMac-centric work desk.  Will it work with other machines? Of course. However, it won’t blend in the way it would on last year’s iMac, as it’s meant to appear like it’s the base of the computer’s stand, allowing you to enjoy plenty of ports (and even extra storage) without the typical eyesore of extra accessories.

The Satechi USB-C Slim Dock For 24-Inch iMac is a port hub with one data-only 10Gbps USB-C slot, one data-only 10Gbps USB-A slot, two USB 2.0 ports, a microSD slot, an SD card slot, and an SSD slot that supports up to 2TB drives. That’s right, you can pop in an actual SSD inside the hub for high-speed storage. The enclosure is designed to open easily (no tools needed), so you can install an SSD or replace one without too much fuss. According to the outfit, it supports both M.2 NMVe and M.2 SATA SSDs.

It comes in an aluminum enclosure that’s designed with a cutout at the bottom center section, allowing you to put it on top of the 2021 iMac’s base to appear like it’s integrated with the stand. Sadly, it only comes in two colors, silver and blue, so those who bought one of the more colorful models won’t quite have the same seamless aesthetic when paired with either of these two.

The Satechi USB-C Slim Dock For 24-Inch iMac is available now, priced at $149.99.
