Martenero Marquis Watch Martenero's take on the men's dress watch combines a refined style with a modern dial, making it equally suitable with both formal and casual looks.

No, the Martenero Marquis doesn’t quite embrace the traditional bare dial of dress watches. Instead, it’s slightly busier than the classic aesthetics of men’s formal watches, all while exuding the refinement and elegance required to seamlessly blend in with business suits and formal attires.

In a way, it might very well be the best manner of approaching a modern dress watch. After all, most people don’t exactly wear full business suits to work anymore, with business casual and similarly relaxed dress codes finding its way to more and more offices everywhere in the world. With its less formal design, the Marquis makes a good case for a functional everyday watch, all while looking formal enough to stay on your wrist when the need for dressier attires come up.

The Martenero Marquis’ dial comes with three large Roman numerals at the 3, 9, and 12 o’clock positions, Arabic numerals in five minute increments, hour markers, and minute indices.  There are also intersecting lines at the center, along with a date function at the 6 o’clock position, making for a genuinely busier timepiece than any of the dress watches your dad and grandpa wore.

Features include a Miyota 9015 movement, a 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal both front and back, a screw-down crown, and 50 meters of water resistance.  It’s has multiple customization options, too, with two sizes (42mm and 38mm), three dial backgrounds (black, white, and gray), four color choices for the seconds hand, and six colors of leather bands.

Available now, the Martenero Marquis is priced at $595.
