Hisense 110 UX TV Hisense's upcoming TV measures 110 inches and packs in 40,000 backlight zones that produce a whopping 10,000 nits of brightness.

How bright is the world’s brightest TV? We don’t know what the current record holder is, but we’re pretty certain that when the Hisense 110 UX TV debuts at CES 2024 next week, it’s going to take the throne with its whopping 10,000 nits of brightness.

That’s right, the outfit’s upcoming mini-LED TV is packing 10,000 nits of illumination, allowing you to open all the windows, turn all lights on, and even beam a flashlight onto the darn thing without affecting its picture quality. We don’t know what kind of brightness is visible from space, but we wouldn’t be surprised if something like this has a chance of letting you see a flicker while you’re floating in zero gravity. It’s wild.

The Hisense 110 UX TV is a giant TV with a 110-inch panel that’s so big, it will, practically, make any living room feel like a movie theater. This is especially true since the TV also boasts 95 percent coverage of the BT 2020 color space, a big leap compared to the 80 percent coverage found in most other high-end TVs in the market. That’s right, it’s a mini-LED TV with high levels of color accuracy – something the category has never been known for. It also boasts an ultra-low 1.28 percent reflectance rate, ensuring minimal disruptions from any ambient lighting to ensure exceptional picture clarity, all while employing STW 2.0 wide-angle film technology, which, they claim, further minimizes backlighting leakage, halos, and color shift problems for an improved viewing experience at every angle.

Of course, the big star of the show is those 10,000 nits of brightness, which is downright unprecedented. For reference, Samsung’s 77-inch Q9 QLED TV has around 2,000 nits and Hisense’s own brightest TV so far maxes out at 4,000 nits. That’s a huge difference. Hisense claims the TV comes with 40,000 backlight zones throughout the 110-inch screen, which means this should also deliver intense levels in both contrast and dynamic range.

The Hisense 110 UX TV is also equipped with the outfit’s newly-developed X-Chipset, which brings with it a number of AI-powered picture quality improvements, including automatic adjustments for both contrast and depth. According to the outfit, the chip can recognize individual scenes and different types of content, then make real-time adjustments to ensure a clearer, more immersive, and overall more captivating display. Of course, AI corrections on modern TVs are nothing new, as almost every mid-range and high-end panel today are packing some type of AI algorithms to improve its overall picture.

There are no details available on how this mega-sized, ultra-bright TV is supposed to be mounted, but we imagine that’s going to be a part of the package when you get something this big and this expensive. In the product photo, it’s shown mounted on a media cabinet, which, we imagine, might actually be its bundled stand. We mean… you do need something that big to ensure this thing doesn’t just tip over due to its awkwardly large size.

The Hisense 110 UX TV will definitely be one of the highlights at the CES 2024 floor in Las Vegas next week. You can read the press release below to learn more.
