Smokey Bear has been reminding you to prevent wildfires for over 70 years. This year, he can keep doing that every time you look down on your wrist with Filson’s Smokey Bear Watch.
That’s right, Filson made a timepiece based on the iconic American mascot. Don’t worry, they didn’t make a bear-shaped watch case that looks like the animal watches your nieces and nephews wear. Instead, it’s a normal-looking 43mm timepiece (that Popeye Yachtmaster looked way louder) with Smokey Bear elements that should play nice with most of the outfits you’ve got hanging in the closet.
The Filson Smokey Bear Watch, naturally, comes with the beloved mascot’s mug plastered near the 12 o’clock position (don’t worry, it’s tastefully-sized), along with his oft-repeated reminder about only you being able to stop wildfires and all that near the six o’clock spot. Like we said, he’ll be a non-stop reminder. It has a stainless steel case with brass PVD back plating securely fastened by six screws, along with a leather strap, making it perfectly suitable for wearing during camping and hikes.
Features include an Argonite 715 quartz movement, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, 12 and 24-hour markings, and an outer minutes/seconds ring. Each one comes packaged in a custom box with a small booklet, a certificate of authenticity, and six postcards of reimagined Smokey Bear posters.
