It looks like a miniature version of a cooling tower straight out of a nuclear plant, but the Enki Stove Wild isn’t designed to cool anything. Instead, it’s a biomass-burning camp stove that, the outfit claims, can burn much more efficiently than competing products in the market.
Similar to other biomass-fueled stoves like the BioLite Cookstove, it requires no gas or propane for power. Instead, you can use any dry organic material readily available around camp, such as twigs and branches, as well as wood pellets, if you prefer bringing your own fuel, just in case it rains and leaves everything around you wet.
To use, simply insert your biomass at the mouth of the Enki Stove Wild and start a fire on top. From there, you can hook it up to a battery pack or a solar panel, which will power an integrated fan inside to help further stoke the fire. While that sounds normal enough, the stove’s overall design allows it to operate in a highly efficient manner. For instance, the fan is able to draw nearly all gas emissions back into the flame cylinder, resulting in a 98 percent combustion efficiency and nearly smokeless cooking. It’s also able to reach temperatures of up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring you can cook big meals without any problems.
Features include a unibody aluminum shell, stainless steel components, a built-in windshield, and a bundled power bank. It comes in two sizes: 15 x 21.5 cm (diameter x height) and 23 x 35.5 cm.
