McNair PlasmaDry Corduroy Mill Shirt Corduroy is awesome. Laser-enhanced corduroy, however, is many times better. That's exactly what McNair proves with this fine-looking work shirt.

From the first time you look at the McNair PlasmaDry Corduroy Mill Shirt, you can tell the darn thing isn’t ordinary corduroy. It looks softer, with a richer depth of color than those thick cotton fabrics with velvety ribs you probably remember. More importantly, though, it’s undergone the outfit’s PlasmaDry enhancement, which transforms erstwhile ordinary corduroy into a highly-technical fabric.

Instead of treatments like DWR to give the garment water repellency and stain resistance, the shirt is actually made from a fabric that’s undergone laser surface enhancement. According to McNair, that process changes the fabric at a molecular level, turning erstwhile ordinary corduroy into a water-repelling workhorse, all while retaining both its soft feel and velvety looks.

Designed for the rainy days of spring, the McNair PlasmaDry Corduroy Mill Shirt is a mid-weight garment that’s more suited for city use than the corduroy’s usual mountain setting. To ensure it cuts it as contemporary work wear, it comes in a shorter length than traditional corduroy tops, along with a slightly tapered cut. The result is an elegant-looking piece that looks rugged enough to rough it up in your mean city’s streets. Or something.

Features include seven front buttons for locking down tight during chillier days, McNair’s signature leather logo locker tab on the back, a back placket, Van Dyke stitching, a pair of welted pockets with buttons on the chest, and subtle contrast stitching. It comes in two colors: slate gray and deep navy.

Available now, the McNair PlasmaDry Corduroy Mill Shirt is priced at £255.
