Like many, we prefer multi-tools that take up as little room as possible, which explains the popularity of cards and similarly compact form factors. Truth be told, though, larger tools make it easier to perform any task, making it a better choice for more challenging jobs. That’s the same reason we’re loving the Griffin Pocket Tool XL.

A larger version of the Griffin Pocket Tool, it increases the original’s size by 50 percent, allowing them to integrate four more tools into the mix. The bigger size also means you get a lot more surface to grip, making it easier to generate torque whenever you need it.

The Griffin Pocket Tool XL measures 4.3 inches long, so while it’s still small enough to fit in your pocket, it might not be all that suitable for hanging in your keychain as its two smaller siblings (the original and the Mini). For that extra size, though, you get a full 15 tools, including six wrenches, a quarter-inch bit driver, a flathead screwdriver, a prying tool, a nail pryer, a scoring tool, a deep pocket clip (so it doesn’t move around in your pocket), a bottle opener, and two rulers (English and metric).

It still retains the same one-piece design of the original, so there’s nothing to fold out, attach, or erstwhile fiddle with. There’s no brass option, though, so it’s only available in stainless steel or titanium, with four available finishes.

Pricing for the Griffin Pocket Tool XL is $35 for the steel and $60 for the titanium.
