Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX B&O's newest wireless headphones with ANC boast a whopping 35 hours of battery life, so you can go days between charges.

Love headphones with Bluetooth and active noise cancellation (ANC), but hate having to charge them every night as soon as you get home? Yeah, you’re not the only one who can appreciate a decent amount of time between charges. That’s why the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX gets a substantial battery that will allow you to use it for extended periods.

The outfit’s newest Bluetooth headphones with ANC, it boasts the ability to run up to 35 hours between charges with both those features running, all while extending to 40 hours with the ANC turned off. That’s equivalent to a full day and a half of non-stop music playback without being tethered by wires and blocking out all external noise within your immediate surroundings.  To put that in context, if you listen to headphones a total eight hours a day, you can go a full four days and change with noise cancellation in tow before needing to plug it into any power source, making it a very convenient option in wireless headphones.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX is equipped with custom-designed 40mm drivers sporting neodymium magnets and bass ports that, the outfit claims, ensure optimal performance in the low frequencies. They’ve been tuned to deliver a sound that pairs a clear midrange with superb balance on the treble and bass, creating a listening experience B&O describes as “precise and immersive,” all while allowing you to tweak the sound profile to your particular tastes via the companion B&O app.

It comes with the next generation of the outfit’s Digital Adaptive ANC technology, which digitally compensates to eliminate background noise without compromising the sound quality of whatever track is playing. The level of noise cancellation, by the way, can be adjusted from the companion app, too, so you can turn it up so you’re totally enveloped in nothing but the music or lower it a bit, so you can still stay aware of louder sounds in your immediate vicinity.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX’s 35 hours of battery life, by the way, trumps, pretty much, every other competition in the space. If you look around, you’ll see Bluetooth headphones with ANC getting battery life ratings of anywhere between 16 to 30 hours, with the latter number being very rare. So yeah… the battery life on these headphones is really something else. It comes with Bluetooth 5.1, with support for aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC codecs, as well as quick connection across various devices via compatibility with Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and Made for iPhone.

Four microphones with beamforming are used to pick up your voice clearly during calls, while two mics in each ear cup handle sound pickup duties for the active noise cancellation. Features include physical on-device controls (buttons on each earcup and touch interface on the right), up to two concurrent connections, voice assistant integration, and a build that’s focused on providing premium comfort, making it viable for extended listening periods.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX is available now, priced at $499.
