For the last few years, Vizio has a carved a solid niche for their affordable yet high-quality TVs. Simply put, they’ve become the go-to brand when you’re looking to maximize your TV budget. This time around, they’re looking to take over your home’s sound system, too, with the Vizio SmartCast Crave Speakers.

Positioned as an alternative to Sonos, the speakers can handle multi-room pairing over Wi-Fi, allowing you to play the same tunes from the same source in every single part of the house. They also come with Google Cast built in, making it dead simple to output any content or music app on your phone directly to the speakers, as well as Bluetooth if you prefer receiving calls and notifications in the middle of your playlists.

The Vizio SmartCast Crave line consists of two products: Crave 360 and Crave Pro. The former is a cylinder-shaped 2.1 speaker with a satin alloy body that outputs omnidirectional sound, with a max loudness of 95 decibels. Designed for mobile use around the house, it comes with an attached leather strap for comfortably carrying and an integrated battery that can keep charge for eight hours of playback. It comes with wireless charging base for keeping the onboard battery fed.

The latter speaker, on the other hand, is a more traditional rectangular model that’s designed to sit permanently on a shelf or a media cabinet. It comes with 102db of loudness, dual subwoofers for a stronger bass sound, and a woven fabric cover. Both feature a satin aluminum finish, a glass touch dial for on-device controls, and a social mode that allows anyone on the network to send output to the speakers over Google Cast.

Available now, the Vizio SmartCast Crave Speakers are priced at $249.99 for the 360 and $299.99 for the Pro.
