We’re really enjoying Todd Snyder’s collaborations with Timex, which has breathed fresh life on some of the watchmaker’s legacy designs. The Timex x Todd Snyder Military Watch is the latest timepiece to come out of the partnership, drawing from the outfit’s long history of military watchmaking.
No, this isn’t a new version of a classic Timex model. Instead, it borrows elements from numerous military timepieces from the 60s and 70s, both from the Timex catalog and other mil-spec watches from the era, turning out a watch that looks legitimately straight out of the period.
The Timex x Todd Snyder Military Watch has a vintage-style dial artwork based on rare designs found in the Timex archive that show a 24-hour indicator and minute indicators on the outer ring. They pair that retro dial to a more contemporary 40mm silvertone case that’s rated at 50 meters of water resistance, so it should be just as hardwearing as any proper mil-spec tool watch. It comes with the outfit’s patented Indiglo illumination on both the hands and indicators for functional nighttime visibility, with an olive-drab NATO strap to complete the military look.
Want one? The Timex x Todd Snyder Military Watch is priced at $138.
