Tessel Supply Jet Pack 2.0 Backpack The second-generation of Tessel Supply's multi-faceted backpack pairs the same futuristic design with a larger size and more rugged construction.

When Tessel Supply introduced their first backpack some years back, it drew a lot of attention because of its unique, stand-out styling. The new version of that bag, called the Tessel Supply Jet Pack 2.0, reprises the same multi-faceted design but reinforces it for better performance and function.

Like the original, the new version uses a composite material for the faceted panels that give the bag its unusual futuristic feel. Unlike it, the rest of the bag is now made with 210D PU ripstop nylon, so it should prove more hardwearing and damage-resistant than its predecessor, with denser foam on the panels to ensure better protection for all the gear you’re carrying.

The Tessel Supply Jet Pack 2.0 is bigger than the first bag at 17.5 x 6 x 10.5 inches, with a larger 19-liter capacity for accommodating a lot more of your work, school, and recreational gear. A built-in laptop sleeve in the main compartment can accommodate computers up to 15 inches, with faux fur lining to ensure your favorite digital workhorse doesn’t end up incurring nicks and scratches. There’s also a secondary sleeve for carrying a tablet, a notebook, or any similarly-sized item, as well as a zippered front pocket with an accompanying laminated storm flap.

Features include improved ergonomics that claim to wear easier on the shoulders, YKK Aquaguard-coated zippers, and the same blacked out colorway that really complements the bag’s sci-fi aesthetics. And, no, despite the name, there isn’t actually an option to outfit it with accompanying rocket boosters.

Slated to ship mid-February, the Tessel Supply Jet Pack 2.0 is priced at $140.
