We don’t know if it’s the nicest-looking electric bike out there like the outfit claims. We do admit, though, the Tempus Electric Bike looks a whole lot better-styled than most motorized bicycles we’ve seen.
Sporting an aggressive stance, the ride brings a café racer aesthetic that makes it look more like a motorcycle than a pedal-powered steed. Granted, it will still run like any motorized bicycle, albeit with a whole load more style than the usual options in the market.
The Tempus Electric Bike pairs a 1000W hub motor with a 48-volt Samsung battery, giving it a top speed of 31 miles per hour and a range of 31 miles. Yeah, it’s not exactly the kind of thing that will change your daily commutes, but it does make for a suitable ride for those quick trips to the mini-mart and beer runs during parties. It comes with a handcrafted frame cut in aircraft-grade chromoly steel, so this should hold up to the daily grind.
There are no cargo racks (since that will ruin the erstwhile dapper silhouette), although it can support up to 350 pounds, so you can carry a heavy backpack without any problem during rides. Features include Marks M2 hydraulic disc brakes (180mm front and 160mm rear), a leather seat straight out of café racers, 26-inch wheels, and a recharge time of five hours.
Available now, the Tempus Electric Bike is priced at $5,000.
