Shelby 50th Anniversary Super Snake Built to celebrate five decades of souped-up Mustangs, the newest Shelby boosts its output to a whopping 750 horsepower.

When Ford’s pony car isn’t sporty enough, Mustang fans have always had the Shelby as a high-performance standby. And it’s been that way for the last 50 years. The Shelby 50th Anniversary Super Snake celebrates those five decades of souped-up pony cars.

A special edition of the current Super Snake model, the vehicle is still based on the Ford Mustang GT, albeit with a gaggle of mods that boost the output to levels worthy of the Super Snake name. From power and quickness to handling and overall performance, this thing should satisfy even the most discerning drivers.

The Shelby 50th Anniversary Super Snake comes with a modified V8 engine in two configurations: one with 670 horsepower and a supercharged version that packs a whopping 750 ponies. With the latter option, it can go from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, all while clearing a quarter mile in 10.9 ticks. Features include a modified suspension, upgraded brakes (bigger calipers and rotors) 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, and Shelby-spec performance tires.

On the styling front, the car gets a new hood, rockers, spoilers, splitters, grille, fog lights, rear tail panel, and rear diffuser assembly, complete with racing stripes for a sportier look. Inside, it comes with anniversary logos on the seats and floor mats, a dash plaque with an official Shelby serial, and a wireless gauge cluster.

Pricing for the Shelby 50th Anniversary Super Snake starts at $69,995.
