In the short time it’s been released internationally, Seiko’s Prospex line has earned a well-deserved reputation for producing premium-quality tool watches. While best known for their dive watches, the outfit’s latest, the Seiko Prospex Radio Sync Chronograph, looks to find a place in pilots’ wrists.

Boasting precision and reliability, the timepiece is accurate to within a second every 100,000 years, so you can rely on its time-telling well past your entire lifetime. Like many function-oriented pilot watches, it comes with a heavily-detailed watch face and bezel, but balances it with an interesting aesthetic that should look fine with most any outfit.

The Seiko Prospex Radio Sync Chronograph has a solar-powered quartz caliber, so you never need to change batteries or keep it on a watch winder to keep everything running. A new radio-synchronizing feature allows it to automatically adjust to local time zones via transmitting stations located in Japan, Germany, China, and the US, which it does automatically three times a day, as well as manually at the push of a button. The three-dial chronograph can count up to 60 minutes in 1/5 second increments, while a rotary slide rule on the bezel allows you to easily calculate and convert values for distance, speed, weight, and fuel load.

Features include a 47.8mm stainless steel case, bezel edging that allows for an easy grip, different button textures to minimize the risk of mistaken presses, and 10 bars of water resistance. It comes in three variants: SSG001 (stainless steel bracelet), SSG002 (stainless steel with black hard coating), and SSG005 (calf leather band).

Pricing for the Seiko Prospex Radio Sync Chronograph starts at €640.
