There’s nothing new about Penfield’s Oakdale Jacket. It’s a design that’s been around for the last couple of decades (heck, maybe even longer). This updated version, however, brings the long-running design’s technical capabilities up to speed, combining the garment’s classic look with modern performance.
Sporting a distinct look courtesy of Penfield’s signature circular quilting (yes, it looks like an onion), the jacket is cut in a loose bomber shape, making it quite the unique addition to any wardrobe. Paired with the new technical updates, this thing just might end up being your go-to jacket for those chilly but not quite freezing days around the city.
The Penfield Oakdale Jacket has a shell made from a water-resistant and windproof nylon, ensuring it will fend off inclement weather like a boss, with a black nylon lining and thermal wadding to keep you feeling toasty. It comes with a ripstop zippered chest pocket in a contrasting color, in a size big enough to fit large phones and, maybe, smaller tablets, as well as two lower zippered pockets and an internal nylon ripstop pocket with an accompanying headphone port. Other features include a zippered jacket closure, a durable matte finish, a shaped hem, a rib-knit collar, and bound elastic cuffs.
Available in three colors (navy, black, and olive), the Penfield Oakdale Jacket is priced at $205.
