The Pagani Huayra is one heck of a glorious supercar that’s about as perfect as four-wheeled exotics get. Even perfection can be improved upon, of course, and that’s exactly what happens with the Pagani Huayra BC.

A lighter, faster version of the sold-out $1.3-million supercar, the vehicle weighs almost 300 pounds less than the original Huayra, all while getting a big boost in power. The weight savings come courtesy of carbon fiber and titanium construction all throughout the car, which is light enough to get it down to 2,685 pounds.

The Pagani Huayra BC uses the same twin-turbo 6.0L V12 engine, but has now been tweaked to put out a whopping 789 horsepower (60 more compared to the 2012 original) and 811 pound-feet of torque. They pair it with a new seven-speed automatic gearbox that cuts shift time in half, although no details were given about the actual speed gains from both the greater power and the lighter weight. It comes with a bespoke suspension system that’s specially-developed for the vehicle, which the company is calling the lightest and most effective ever applied to a road-going ride.

Features include a carbon-ceramic Brembo braking system, Bosche ESP system with three riding modes (Comfort, Sport, and Track), lightweight forged wheels, P Zero Corsa tires, and aerodynamic tweaks that increase the downforce even further. According to Pagani, the new car shares no body panels with its predecessor beyond the roof, making for a car that looks very similar but feels refreshingly different.
