Nixon Staple Nixon's slim everyday watch boasts a handsome silhouette and clean styling that will work perfectly as an everyday watch.

No, Nixon didn’t suddenly start making office supplies. Instead, the Nixon Staple is the outfit’s version of a quintessential timepiece – the kind that should easily find its place in every man’s wardrobe.

Granted, our idea of an accessory staple timepiece is a handsome analog dress watch that can pair with anything short of a basketball jersey and gym shorts. You know, the kind that you can look equally good with a nice suit as it does with a button-down-and-chinos combo or even just a tee-and-jeans.  Apparently, Nixon has other ideas.

The Nixon Staple is a digital watch with a square-shaped dial and a slim profile, making it quite a marked departure from the burly and rugged style of many modern digital timepieces. This cleaner styling should make it more suited for wearing with less-casual outfits, allowing you to use it as a viable everyday watch. The outfit, in fact, compares it to a pair of perfectly broken-in skate shoes – the kind you immediately gravitate towards when you want the utmost comfort while you take a stroll outside.

It has two lines of digital readouts, each of which can be customized separately to show any of the available functions (time, date, chronograph, timer, and alarm), so you can easily customize the information you can glean from the watch with a quick glance. There’s also a coin flip feature that you can use, instead of actually flipping a coin, to make lousy decisions. Other details include a 39mm watch case, 100 meter water resistance, and EL backlight.

The Nixon Staple is available now in five different colors. Price is $100.
