Some iterations offer minor refinements. Others effect a complete overhaul. With the Nike Hypervenom 3, the sportswear brand opted to go the latter route, giving the silhouette a radical makeover for more aggressive performance in the field.

Designed for strikers, the soccer shoes are rigged to offer maximum support during cuts and strikes, ensuring you can push the pace and attempt aggressive scoring plays without worrying about injuring your feet. Simply put, it’s a shoe built for the express purpose of helping offensive players score goals, ensuing you can perform to your full potential every game.

Unlike previous iterations, the Nike Hypervenom 3 uses an all-Flyknit upper with integrated multi-layer Poron foam pods that create a dampening soft touch at low velocity contact while turning rigid when striking the ball at high speeds. On the strike zone, the pods measure 2mm thick, ensuring there’s enough material in there to help launch the ball with serious power. That upper, by the way, comes with three meters of Flywire cables to enable high levels of customized fit.

Features include a collar with dynamic fit for improved lateral stability, an all-new plate that combines flexible Pebax in the forefoot with sturdy nylon everywhere else, 17 percent lighter weight than its predecessor, and a new traction pattern for the outsole that’s designed to enable lateral cuts at sharp angles. It comes in both low-cut and mid-cut versions.
