Like many, we’re big fans of Nike’s Air Max silhouette and its various offshoots. Apparently, so is PGA Tour golfer Rory McIlroy, whose particular affinity to the Nike Air Max 90 inspired the Swoosh folks to turn the silhouette into a performance golf shoe. The Nike Air Zoom 90 IT is the result.
Designed to deliver a high level of performance in the course, the shoe pairs the classic silhouette with aggressive traction, ensuring it will give you secure footing from the tee box all the way to the last hole. And, yes, it looks like exactly like the Air Max 90, so you can wear it out of the golf course without looking out of place (albeit, probably destroying every carpeted surface you walk on).
The Nike Air Zoom 90 IT is cut in a fully-waterproof membrane, ensuring your feet will stay dry even with a little drizzle on the fairway. A one-piece inner sleeve locks your feet in with a snug sock-like feel, while the resilient cushioning courtesy of a Nike Zoom Air forefoot unit provides continued comfort while wearing a low profile all throughout a game. Nike’s Integrated Traction on the outsole gives it an excellent grip and ground feel, all while being versatile enough to wear well off the course.
Available in two colorways, the Nike Air Zoom 90 IT is priced at $175.
