Looking for a mountain biking short with a more tailored fit than what you usually see people wearing on the single trail? Check out Mission Workshop’s Traverse XC, a slimmer and trimmer version of the outfit’s standard mountain biking shorts.
Sporting a streamlined design, the shorts offer a more stylish-looking option without hindering your movements whether you’re on or off the bike. The more flattering cut should lend itself to serving well beyond mountain riding duties, too, making it a suitable pair of shorts you can wear for a casual day out around the city.
The Mission Workshop Traverse XC is cut just above the knee to provide excellent ventilation during riding, while an integrated contoured waist belt enables single-handed adjustment, so you don’t have to stop pedaling in order to loosen or tighten the fit. Made from a lightweight, mil-spec fabric, it boasts high durability, water repellence, and a four way stretch, ensuring you get a full range of movement, whether you’re cruising along a trail, riding on unpaved terrain, or running after your beginner mountain bike while it falls down a hill. Slim cargo pockets on either side give you a place to stash gear without getting in the way of either your pedaling or bike handling motions.
Features include a gusseted inseam, custom aluminum hardware, YKK zippers, and Prym snaps. It comes in two colors: charcoal and camo.
Available now, the Mission Workshop Traverse XC is priced at $165.
