Matador FlatPak Waterproof Toiletry Case Matador's dopp kit has an expandable shell, a rolltop closure, and a design that lets water evaporate from inside without dripping.

Dopp kits are great. They let you carry toiletries anywhere you go while keeping them dry and organized the entire time. The Matador FlatPak Waterproof Toiletry Case puts a twist on the traditional dopp kit by letting you pack your grooming supplies in a bag that’s only as thick as all the stuff it carries, allowing you to optimize the amount of space it takes up in your bag or luggage.

Combining a shell that lays completely flat when empty with a roll top closure, the bag is able to be as big or as small as you need, depending on how much toiletries you’re actually packing. Just carrying a few essentials for an overnight stay somewhere? Pack it down to a small bundle. Need to carry your entire toiletry cabinet for a trip out of the country? Cram everything in and give it a small roll on top. Hopefully… everything fits.

The Matador FlatPak Waterproof Toiletry Case is a small bag made from 30D ripstop nylon, which should make it reasonably durable and practically impenetrable to any water it will encounter every time it ventures into a bathroom. It has a fully-welded construction, so water won’t get through any of the seams, either, while the outfit’s “dry through” technology allows the stuff inside to dry out without allowing water to drip. Yes, we don’t know how it allows water to evaporate but keeps it from dripping, either, but they insist it’s an actual thing.

It has a 2-liter capacity, so it’s on the smaller side for dopp kits, which probably makes it more suited for guys who don’t plan on carrying gobloads of grooming supplies. According to the outfit, maximum dimensions are 9.5 x 3.75 x 5.5 inches (height x thickness x width), so it can stretch quite a bit to accommodate your bottles, tubes, and other hygiene supplies.

The Matador FlatPak Waterproof Toiletry Case has a roll top design that requires, at least, three rolls to maintain the waterproof function, while a YKK buckle closure keeps it shut, so none of your supplies accidentally spill out during transport. An integrated hang loop allows you to hang it on a hook once you’re in the bathroom to keep it away from those suspect public bathroom surfaces, while a flat bottom design allows it to stand upright, in case there’s no available hook in the facility.

The rolltop toiletry bag is part of the outfit’s new collection of travel grooming packs, which all get the same expandable construction, welded seams, and that mysterious “dry through” function. It’s actually one of two dopp kits in the line, with the other being a slightly bigger zippered case. Other items in the collection include TSA-approved soft bottles that you can use to hold shampoos, lotion, and other liquid hygiene products, as well as a soap bar case for your Dr. Squatch Pine Tar Soap. And yes, you can put your wet soap in that case and have it dry out without dripping on your stash.

The Matador FlatPak Waterproof Toiletry Case is available now, priced at $24.99.
