Lew and Huey Phantom A Watch It may not deliver the utilitarian features of a full-fledged pilot watch, but the aviation-inspired styling on Lew and Huey's newest timepiece gives it the same rugged and handsome appeal as a well-tailored bomber jacket.

When we hear the term “aviation-inspired,” we immediately imagine a pilot watch. While the Lew and Huey Phantom A doesn’t get the same utilitarian technical features as an aviation tool watch, it does take its styling cues directly from an aircraft’s cockpit, bringing “a full arsenal of subtle style” that should play nice with any man’s everyday wardrobe.

Named after the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II fighter-bomber, the timepiece has a clear and easy-to-read dial that’s borrowed straight out of the clocks and gauges on a plane’s instrument panel. The face, shape, and overall design hint to a subdued and classic styling that’s incredibly easy to pair with any outfit during any season of the year. Yes, even when you’re actually flying a plane.

The Lew and Huey Phantom A has a 42mm case (crown not included) that’s available in either brushed stainless steel or diamond-like carbon construction, topped with a domed acrylic crystal. Stealth printing and matte finish on the sandwich dial helps reinforce the classically-inspired look, with a 60-click, 12-hour count-up bezel (with lumed markers) giving the timepiece a utilitarian edge. Oh yeah, the watch has a fully-lumed face, ensuring it’s just as easy to read even in the dark. Features include 330 feet of water resistance, a Seiko caliber NH35 automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve, and a European pull-up leather bracelet.
