There are a few things you want in an everyday sneaker. They have to be comfortable enough for all-day wear, versatile enough to pair well with many outfits, and they should be breathable enough to let you keep your feet smelling decent every day of the week. We’re confident the Jordan Delta ticks all those boxes and then some.
Billed as a combination of “high-end material craftsmanship and high-tech construction methods,” the footwear combines the best of both worlds, creating a shoe that, the outfit claims, relies on the most advanced manufacturing methods while mirroring the quality of handcrafted products. Of course, we don’t know whether the whole spiel’s for real, but if you’re familiar at all with Jordan Brand’s releases, we have a feeling we won’t be disappointed.
The Jordan Delta has an upper made from a breathable mesh material that’s augmented at various sections by large suede overlays. It’s quite a good-looking combination, especially when contrasted with the generously-padded tongue which comes in a different color than the upper. Designed as a function-first everyday shoe, it has a fully-seamless interior that prevents any kind of abrasion, even if you run, jump, and kick random stuff on the sidewalk (hey, sometimes, you get bored), while lots of padding on the collar, heel loops, and the aforementioned tongue all combine to surround your feet with plush comfort.
It has a full-length Nike React foam, which was originally used in the outfit’s basketball shoes, ensuring it delivers the softest and bounciest cushioning available. A herringbone pattern on the outsole delivers support and lightweight flexibility, all while referencing the brand’s basketball roots. One notable feature, by the way: there’s no easily-visible Jordan jumping silhouette on the shoe, giving it a really minimalist aesthetic that everyone can appreciate.
The Jordan Delta is available now, priced at $150.
