JBL Go 3 The successor to JBL's ultra-portable speaker is small enough to fit in your palm while bringing an even bigger sound and a punchier bass.

It looks little more than an oversized padlock. Okay, really oversized. With that, we’re saying, it’s impressively compact. Despite the size, the JBL Go 3 packs some serious power in that undersized frame, delivering a sound that makes it viable as your on-the-go speaker for camping, hiking, and everyday gallivanting around town.

Measuring just 2.7 x 3.4 x 1.6 inches (width x height x depth), it’s one of the most portable Bluetooth speakers out there, coming in at a size that you can literally cup in the palm of your hand. That way, you can hold it in your hand, squeeze it in a backpack pouch, or even cram it in the back pocket of your pants (may or may not fit), making it dead easy to bring a loudspeaker to wherever you’re spending the day.

The JBL Go 3 comes in a padlock-shaped design with a cable loop on top for holding by the finger, hanging on a hook, or clipping on a carabiner in your pack. Equipped with a 1.5-inch transducer, it puts out 4.2-watts of power, giving it a loud sound with a punchy bass that’s well beyond what its puny size will suggest. Suffice to say, the sound is considerably bigger than its predecessor, so if you liked the audio quality on that one, this is definitely a satisfying step up. To make sure you can set it down safely on a flat surface, it comes with grips on one side that keep it stable and prevent movements due to vibration during playback with the volume turned up.

It’s IP67 waterproof and dustproof, so you can bring it outdoors without having to worry about damaging any part of the speaker. The batter, by the way, is only rated at up to five hours between charges, so you may want to keep a power bank along if you plan to use this with any frequency.
