Whether for searching, hunting, or camping, the Imalent DDT40 has proven its worth as a solid lighting tool since its introduction a short while back. This year, the model gets an updated version that beefs up one of the most feature-packed search flashlights even more.
Packing a total of 5,380 lumens, it puts out 4,200 lumens out front and another 1,180 on the sides, allowing you to throw a strong light both in the area out front and the immediate vicinity. That means, you won’t just be able to get a clear sight of the area ahead, but along the sides as well, enabling a more efficient searching function.
The Imalent DDT40 uses six LEDs (four CREE XM-L2 U4 in front and two XP-L on the sides), giving users a broad range of illumination options, complete with infinite brightness adjustments (seriously, you can adjust brightness anywhere within the available range). It provides spot lighting up to 450 meters, a floodlight that can put any car headlight to shame, a 360-degree super-wide lens-diffused flood beam (perfect for camp lighting), and daylight-quality search light over a 50-square meter area.
Everything can be precisely controlled from an integrated touchscreen panel, complete with a memory function for programming settings. Features include military-grade Type III hard-anodized construction, IPX-8 waterproofing, a flat tail cap for use as a table lamp, integrated thermal control, and a tempered glass lens. It measures 139 x 68 x 50 mm.
Available now, the Imalent DDT40 is priced at $229.95.
