There’s no shortage of ways to carry your MacBooks and iPads. If you prefer traveling light, though, nothing beats the convenience of a portfolio organizer, as they let you bring your main productivity machine and a few other essentials in a small case you can carry in hand. As far as such accessories go, we have to say, the Harber NOMAD Organizer absolutely won us over at first glance.
Designed for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro 13, this smart-looking portfolio lets you carry a laptop, a tablet, and a whole lot of accessories you require for your productive tasks, so you can carry everything you’re going to need throughout course of a workday. From zippered pockets and pouches to loops and tiny compartments, there’s plenty here to let you keep your gear in an organized manner.
When opened, the Harber NOMAD Organizer has a laptop sleeve on the right side, with a strap securing it so it doesn’t slide out, and a tablet sleeve on the left, with a pen loop on top for the Apple Pencil securing the tablet in its position. Yes, it can fit the 12.9-inch iPad Pro even with a Smart Cover on, so you don’t have to strip your tablet bare in order to bring it along. While designed for specific Apple devices, you can, of course, use it with any laptop and tablet combo, provided they’re similar in size or smaller, so you won’t be forced to pledge your loyalty to Cupertino if ever you decide to pick this thing up.
There’s also a smartphone pocket on the left side that’s sized to hold even the largest model out there, along with two other open pouches (including one very wide pouch) that you can use for any other items you want to keep off your pockets. There’s a zippered pocket on the right side for things you want to make sure will never fall off, as well as four loops for holding chargers, earbuds, cables, and small multi-tools. Other compartments include a zippered coin pocket, a key loop and a pen slot.
The Harber NOMAD Organizer can be closed using a single zipper that runs through three sides of the case, while a handle allows you to carry it like a briefcase if it feels a little too heavy to cup in hand. It comes with detachable straps that let you carry it like a backpack or a messenger bag, giving you the option to free up your hands in case you need them to eat your lunch on the way to another meeting.
Construction is full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, so this thing feels really luxurious, apart from developing a unique patina that gives it character over time. Both the sleeves for the laptop and tablet, by the way, is covered in felt lining to ensure it won’t nick or scratch your devices during transit.
Available in four colors (tan, black, navy, and deep brown), the Harber NOMAD Organizer is priced at £299.
