We’re not entirely certain whether Hanhart is still a Swiss watchmaker or a German one. Either way, still they craft some of the finest-looking watches you’re going to find, like the upcoming Hanhart Primus Survivor, a pilot watch the outfit is billing as a timepiece for “urban survivors.”
Yes, we’re not entirely sure what “urban survivors” mean, either. We’re pretty sure they didn’t just make a watch for zombies. It doesn’t really matter, however, because this is one seriously handsome creation, with a ruggedness in both build and aesthetic that should make for a hardwearing everyday accessory you won’t mind rocking every day of the week.
The Hanhart Primus Survivor incorporates the outfit’s signature elements, from the anodized aluminum red push button to the bi-compax dial layout. While the color combination makes it looks military-themed, Hanhart says the dial’s bronze green hue is actually inspired by Southern Germany’s Black Forest, reinforcing the timepiece’s rugged and outdoor-friendly aesthetic. White indicators with Super-Luminova coating join the bronze green chronograph background, which sits inside a 44mm sand-blasted stainless steel case and anti-reflective sapphire glass lenses both front and back.
Features include an automatic HAN3809 chronograph movement (28 jewels and 42-hour power reserve), fluted bezel with inlaid red marking, a large screw-in crown, and a clear view of the movement and skeletonized rotor from the back. It comes with a textile strap that matches the dial’s color, with a folding clasp carrying inlaid red markings cut in stainless steel.
Now available for preorder, the Hanhart Primus Survivor is priced at under $4,000.
