We’re huge fans of Greats’ sneakers, with their combination of classic designs, premium materials, and Italian craftsmanship. Plus, they aren’t priced as exorbitantly as other boutique sneaker brands. Their newest drop, the Greats Amerigo, takes that same formula and applies it to the rugged hiking boot.
Styled like a traditional American hiking boot, it pairs the familiar silhouette with luxury details you don’t typically find in rugged, technical footwear. And, yes, it’s built to perform well during hikes, so it should wear just as well during weekend adventures as it does while spending a casual day hitting spots around town.
Ensuring it can handle the demands of long hikes, the Greats Amerigo sports a fully-gusseted tongue to shield your ankles and lower legs from the elements, Vachetta-leather lining for buttery-soft comfort, and Vibram lug soles to ensure a brawny grip across backwoods terrains. It’s cut in a suede upper for extra warmth during colder hikes, with detailed elements throughout the boot that give it a more premium look. Nickel-plated D-rings and speed loops allow you to easily slip in and out of the shoe, which it pairs with custom bakery string laces that you can wrap around the upper for an even more secure fit. Two colorways are available: the lighter Dune and the darker Storm, with red/white and blue/black laces, respectively.
Available now, the Greats Amerigo Hiking Boots are priced at $260.
