The Ford F-150 Raptor is a heck of a truck, with more power and off-road capabilities than most people will ever need. Apparently, though, even a monster like the Raptor isn’t beastly enough for some folks and that’s why the F250R Megaraptor exists.
A customized Ford Super Duty (donors are either an F-250 or an F-350), the truck is, basically, stripped down to the chassis, cab, and engine, which serves as the blank canvas in which a new behemoth is born. From there, they made it bigger, more powerful, and even more capable in the off-road, with aesthetics that make it look more like an all-terrain racer than a construction site staple.
The F250R Megaraptor gets its 6.7-liter Powerstroke V8 engine upgraded to put out 440 horsepower and an insane 925 pound-feet of torque, allowing it tow three times the weight a standard Super Duty can handle, with an optional exhaust package that dials things up to 580 hp and 1,175 lb-ft. To ensure it drives over any obstacle with ease, the truck is raised by 4.5-inch lifts both front and rear, as well as Bilstein 5100 shocks, military MRAP wheels, and massive 46-inch military-grade tires.
Features include custom fiberglass fenders to accommodate those supersized wheels and tires, a wider track for better cornering abilities, and a front hood that tilts open like a semi-truck for easier access. And, yes, you can request a bunch of custom additions based on your personal tastes.
Pricing for the F250R Megaraptor starts at $28,000 for the custom work alone. You can either provide the donor truck or have them pick one up for you.
