It looks like any regular travel bottle. You know, the kind that will keep your coffee warm and your soda cool, depending on what you packed in it to drink for the day. While the CamelBak MultiBev can be used like any insulated travel bottle, it does hide a clever trick: an integrated drinking cup that lets you spare the bottle’s opening from your dirty and filthy mouth.
That’s right, you no longer need to slobber on the mouth of your drinking bottle, as you can simply pour the contents down onto the cup, so you can sip water like a civilized person. As such, the bottle stays cleaner for far longer, so you can use it the whole time you’re out without the bottle’s mouth smelling something foul at some point during the day.
The Camelbak MultiBev looks like a standard water bottle, with a tall body, a grip-friendly diameter, and a screw-on cap with a carrying handle, so you can secure it on a loop or hook it on your finger for convenient transport. Except, the bottle’s exterior shell isn’t actually part of the bottle, as the lower half can be screwed off to serve as a functional standalone drinking cup. Removing that cup reveals the actual double-wall vacuum-insulated bottle beneath it, which holds your beverage of choice and keeps it at the desired temperature levels. According to the outfit, it can keep hot drinks warm for up to 14 hours and cold drinks chilled for up to 20 hours, so you can enjoy any drink you made in the morning well into the later hours of the day.
The drinking cup, by the way, comes with its own silicone lid, which can fold and store on the bottle’s screw-on cap, allowing it to further lock in your drink’s temperature even after you pour it out of the bottle. According to CamelBak, the cup with the lid on can keep hot drinks warm for three hours and cold drinks chilled for six hours. That lid also comes with a sipping hole, so you can drink your coffee, soda, or wine without having to take off the lid each time out.
The Camelbak MultiBev comes in two sizes: 22 ounces and 17 ounces, with the former coming with a 16-ounce cup and the latter coming with a 12-ounce cup. Construction is 18/8 stainless steel with a powder-coated finish for all parts other than the silicone lid for the cup, so this is an all-around durable bottle, making it suitable for the office, the gym, and the outdoors alike. The screw-on cap, by the way, is compatible with CamelBak’s Chute Mag Bottle, Eddy Bottle, Carry Cap Bottle, and Hot Cap Bottle, in case you have older bottles that lost their caps at some point.
All parts of the bottle are dishwasher-safe, too, so you can simply throw the whole thing in the dishwasher for cleaning once you’re back at home. Just make sure to separate all parts (cap, lid, cup, and bottle) before putting them in the dishwasher.
The Camelbak MultiBev is available now, priced starting at $48.
