  1. For that type of jacket, I do not think that price is that bad at all! It makes sense that you would use it in a pinch and the weather might not be easily predicted like during the Spring months.

  2. I have worn Brooks running shoes for many years. I have found the durability and build-quality to be much higher than what Nike offers. Many of Nike shoes are well-built in one batch, and then the next batch from the same factory has quality control problems with loose thread on seams etc. If the build quality of this Brooks running jacket is similar to the build quality of their shoes, then it is well-worth the price of $100 or less.

    Brooks Sports has their headquarters in Seattle, Washington, so they definitely know what needs to go into a running jacket that can repel wind and rain. Did you know Brooks started off making bathing suits? Brooks didn’t start making sports apparel until the 1930’s. Nike has a much larger market share than Brooks, but when you look at hardcore professional athletes such as marathon runners, you will often find more Brooks Shoes than you will Nike running shoes. They build great running shoes and I expect that the Brooks running jacket will perform just as well.
