Plimsoles have been around for close to two centuries now, having served as standard beach footwear and, later, an everyday casual shoe through all that time. Bluprint’s take on the classic beachwear, the Encinitas Plimsoll, takes the silhouette to a new level of comfort, making for shoes you’d love slipping into every time you leave the house.
Sporting the classic plimsole styling favored by surfers during the 1950s, it looks good enough to pair with shorts, sweats, or your favorite jeans, whether you spend your days in a beach town or a landlocked urban center. Except, you know, it comes with comfort more suited to the 21st century, so you can wear it all day without feeling nay discomfort.
The Bluprint Encinitas Plimsoll has been shaped using an anatomical last, ensuring its proportions mimic most people’s feet for a natural fit. It comes with the outfit’s proprietary Cloud Imprint footbed, which provides an individualized precision fit while providing high levels of cushioning and underfoot support. Construction is waxed cotton duck canvas for the upper, ensuring a water-shedding and dirt-resistant build, making it suitable for wearing on both clear and rainy days.
A hidden EVA foam midsole delivers excellent cushioning and shock absorption without adding a lot of weight, with a natural crepe rubber outsole rounding everything out. It comes in three colors: gray, cream, and camo.
Available now, the Bluprint Encinitas Plimsoll is priced at $99.
