There’s no shortage of cold weather wetsuits in the market, so you’re not exactly short of options if you’re looking to swim, surf, or engage in any kind of water sport in the dead of winter. If you’re looking for one with serious thermal talents, Blue Seventy’s Thermal Helix claims to deliver the necessary performance.

Based on the outfit’s popular Helix wetsuit, the garment updates the original for better cold weather performance, arming it to keep you comfortable even in frigid conditions. That means, it doesn’t matter whether the water’s cold, really cold, or torturously freezing, this offers your best shot of staying warm while indulging in the water during the winter months.

While it retains the same design and basic materials of the Helix, the Blue Seventy Thermal Helix comes fully-lined in zirconium jersey, which boasts much better thermal properties than traditional wetsuit liners. The same liner also dries faster while offering excellent flex, making it a lot more comfortable to have on when looking to stay active in the water, while a redesigned split chest construction anatomically accentuates the lungs, giving the garment optimal buoyancy while maximizing stretch.

Made with anatomical patterning in mind, the wetsuit has 5mm Aerodome panels that keep the hips high for efficient swimming, a neoprene catch panel at the forearms to maximize warmth, and gender-specific 3mm side panels help improve rotation. All seams at high stress points are triple glued, blind stitched, and internally taped to ensure durable performance.

Available now, the Blue Seventy Thermal Helix is priced at $850.
