7Mesh G2 Jersey Unlike other cycling jerseys, 7Mesh's latest doesn't use elastane for stretch, relying instead on mechanically-textured fibers to deliver flexibility.

Cool when warm and warm when cool – that’s how 7Mesh describes their G2 Jersey. Designed for three-season wear, this mid-weight cycling jersey will keep you comfortable on the road through rain, sun, and chilly breezes. Just wear something on top during freezing weather, though, unless you want to look like a popsicle streaking down the road.

Unlike most cycling jerseys that incorporate elastic fabrics (e.g. Lycra), this garment is constructed from polyester and carbon knit, all while still providing the necessary stretch to keep you flexible during rides. How? By using mechanically-textured fibers that provide a spring-like stretch, all while leaving the fabric quicker-drying, lighter, more breathable, and gentler-fitting. It also comes with a custom knit to achieve an asymmetrical stretch, providing plenty of lateral movement while limiting the fabric’s vertical stretch.

Because of the unique fabric design, the 7Mesh G2 Jersey comes with fabric-specific patterning that’s been tailored for optimal performance in the riding position. It gets a full-length front zipper for providing ventilation during hot summer rides, along with UPF 50 treatment to keep you protected from the hot rays of the sun. Other details include a high collar for extending the sun protection, a high-stretch gripper at the waist hem to keep the garment in place, and reflective details for nighttime visibility.

While it gets the customary three rear top-loading pockets, they also throw in a pair of zippered side pockets, which come complete with headphone ports if you want to live dangerously and ride without any audible awareness of your surroundings. And by surroundings, we mean that truck coming at you from behind.

Available now, the 7Mesh G2 Jersey is priced at $140.
