Ford’s F-15 Raptor Supercab is one heck of a truck. With two doors and limited legroom in the backseat, though, it’s not exactly the best ride for bringing more than one pal to an outdoor adventure. Basically, most people want a legit four-seater and that’s exactly what we’re getting with the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Supercrew.

With a wheelbase that’s 12 inches longer than the Supercab, the new truck gets two rear doors and plenty of legroom in the back, so people can actually use it instead of serving as mere extra cargo space. And while that means it’s now family-friendly, nothing’s changed in the performance department, as it retains every bit of the shorter truck’s vaunted talents.

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Supercrew is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that’s mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission, putting out 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. It’s also extremely tough, with a purpose-built fully boxed frame made from steel and aluminum that Ford claims is the strongest in the F-150 lineup, all while coming in at six inches wider than the standard model for enhanced off-road stability. Six preset modes allow it to optimize operating profile for different terrains, whether you’re driving on city roads, speeding in the desert, or crawling over rocks.

Inside, it gets carbon-fiber accents, a contoured steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera system for a complete view of your surroundings during every driving adventure.
