Saucony Razor Ice+ Trail Running Shoes Trail running in the winter? Bad idea. Unless, of course, you've got Saucony's trail runners that handles snow, wet ice, and slush with ease.

It looks like a pair of cross-country ski boots. Make no mistake about it, though, the Saucony Razor Ice+ is designed for running. Unlike traditional runners, however, it’s equipped for braving the trails in the winter, making it ideal when you’re hitting surfaces covered in snow, wet ice, and slush.

Don’t let the boot-like design put you off. These are rigged to be as comfortable and technical as any trail running shoe you’ll slip on any other time of the year. Except, you know, they also keep your feet toasty, all while helping you maintain perfect balance on erstwhile slippery ground.

The Saucony Razor Ice+ has a stretchy and foot-hugging neoprene upper, with fleece lining, so it’s soft and warm on your feet, and an inner sock cut in a thick mesh material that adapts to the shape and motion of your feet. A quick-lace system makes it easy to slip and out of the footwear, with gaiters that extend all the way up to the ankles allowing it to seal out the chilly air and snow. It uses Vibram’s Arctic Grip on the outsole, which comes with a light tread and textured chevrons formulated for extreme traction on wet ice and similarly slippery surfaces.

Features include an Everun heel insert for enhanced energy return, no-sew overlays to keep it lightweight, and a black/white/red colorway. Do note, it’s not waterproof, so expect to get your feet a little wet if it’s raining or there are plenty of puddles on your path.

Available now, the Saucony Razor Ice+ is priced at $180.
