I’ve long been a fan of Reebok’s all-white Classic Nylons, with its simple cut and ever-enduring style. And, no, it ain’t bad for a running shoe either. We have no idea what the shoe has to do with 1950s-era baseball, but the athletic brand and French fashion label Maison Kitsune just made a special version for their new 50s-era baseball-inspired collaboration called the Classic Nylon “Arctic Fox.”

Described as “a premium take on the Classic Nylon silhouette,” it looks just like a regular semi-white Classic Nylon. Which means it’s awesome. It does get unique dual branding on the tongue and the heel, along with what we assume to be Kitsune’s Arctic Fox and baseball graphics on the insole. Yes, it’s a cute touch.

The Reebok x Maison Kitsune Classic Nylon “Arctic Fox” is constructed with a crisp white nylon mesh upper, with cream suede overlays and a natural gum rubber outsole. A closer look, though, reveals leather detail accents that give the shoes a more premium feel than your run of the mill $40 Nylons, with rolled all-white laces completing the ensemble.

Did they ever use these shoes to play baseball in the 50s? We have no idea. It will probably look nice when paired with any merch you’re wearing to the ballpark this baseball season, though, so that’s good enough for me.
