Ever wondered what a Porsche-designed running shoe will look like? Wonder no more as the outfit has released the Porsche Design x Adidas Bounce S4 Lux, a running shoe built out of the automaker’s design language.

A technical running shoe, the trainer boasts performance comparable to your favorite running footwear, ensuring you can use it for your everyday runs without any adverse effects. Except, of course, it’s designed with some unique ideas in mind, foremost of which is that unique carbon heel plate that’s lifted right out of automotive engineering.

The Porsche Design x Adidas Bounce S4 Lux is named after the Bounce suspension system, which it uses to provide excellent energy return, ensuring your runs go smooth and stable while providing cushioning and elasticity with every stride. A decoupled heel helps propel you forward while keeping the feet comfortable, while the unique heel plate delivers unbridled stability. It has a patterned 3D upper cut in a blend of nylon and polyester, which, according to Adidas, slyly integrates the three stripes. Sadly, it’s so sly, I’ve spent 10 minutes staring at the photos and remain unable to find them. Other features include a seamless lining to eliminate skin irritation and a rubber outsole.

Available in blue and red, the Porsche Design x Adidas Bounce S4 Lux is priced at €400.
