We have no idea how these Phiaton BT 460 wireless headphones sound. Whether it performs like hi-fi audio gear or a crappy pair of cans, what we’re really impressed with is its smart set of playback features.

Taking advantage of modern sensors, the headphones come with a touch panel on the right can, allowing you to play, pause, jump tracks, adjust volume, and accept calls by simply tapping and swiping on the housing. Even better, it automatically pauses any track playing the moment you remove the headphones off your ears, then triggers playback as soon as you slip it back on.

The Phiaton BT 460 uses the outfit’s newly-developed 40mm drivers, which boast an optimized vibration system that delivers high-frequency clarity and improved sound stage, with oversized magnets for a commanding bass tone. A new bass optimizer tech reduces reverb to deliver balanced, accurate sound with a powerful bass, with Bluetooth 4.0 providing it with extended battery life. It can connect with two music sources simultaneously, so you can quickly switch from listening to a music app on your phone to playing stored music on a computer.

A foldable design allows you to pack it in for easy portability, with an included carrying case so it doesn’t have to rattle around your backpack. Features include a LED display that follows your swiping motions, an in-line remote for those who prefer more traditional controls, and a slot for plugging in a regular 3.5mm cable for those times that your listening experience outlasts the battery’s 20-hour capacity.

Available now, the Phiaton BT 460 is priced at $199.
