Overlay & Clad Material

KLAD produces Overlay and Clad piping and pressure vessel components, comprising of carbon or low alloy steel base material as the pressure boundary and CRA as the corrosion allowance. By selecting the proper base metal to meet specified mechanical, chemical, and other properties required by the project specifications and the overlay/cladding to effectively resist the corrosion process, KLAD produces a "solution" that meets design life of 20+ years with enhanced reliability for the plant.

Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, Nozzles, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchanger components are produced following the requirements of ASME/ ANSI/ ASTM/ API/ NACE and other specifications using established procedures for manufacture, with fabrication into pipe spools or pressure vessels performed per ASME/ANSI Code B31.1 and B31.3, ASME Section VIII, Division 1, customer drawings and specifications to provide a turnkey supply.

Sizes & Shapes

Today, KLAD produces complete pipe systems and pressure vessels, with all components required, starting at 1½" bore diameter for nozzles to no practical limit for the upper size for piping components and pressure vessels. All types of material combinations are produced, so that KLAD can develop a unique, custom developed “solutions” to plant corrosion and erosion problems.

Production Technologies

KLAD produces all components either by:

  • Weld Overlay of seamless components and/or from
  • Roll or Explosively bonded clad plates, using developed fabrication techniques.

Since 1995, KLAD piping systems and pressure vessels have been installed in Refineries, Nuclear Power Plants, Oil and Gas production facilities, Sub Sea systems and other plants to solve corrosion and erosion problems with exceptional performance.
