There are plenty of watches that show two time zones simultaneously. Problem is, they usually do it by using sub-dials, making for quite the busy-looking timepieces. If you prefer watches with a more minimalist aesthetic, then the Nocs Atelier Seconds GMT should prove a lot more suited to your liking.
To display two time zones in a single dial, the timepiece adds a second hour hand (it’s differently-colored to avoid confusion) pointing at the second time zone, allowing you to easily read the time in two cities at a glance. More importantly, it does that while sporting a design that’s as elegant and refined as your favorite dress watch, making it suitable for wearing even when dressing up in formal threads.
The Nocs Atelier Seconds GMT comes in two sizes: 40mm and 36mm, so you’re covered whether you prefer your watches on the larger or smaller end of the range. Since the traditional 12-hour dial can get muddled with AM and PM times simultaneously showing (depending on time zones), it uses a 24-hour dial, with line markings on the inner and Roman numerals on the outer edge.
Features include a custom Ronda GMT quartz movement, 316 stainless steel case construction, sapphire crystal glass, 5ATM of water resistance, and a selection of NATO straps (either 20mm or 18mm). It comes in two case finishes: stainless steel and matte black.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Nocs Atelier Seconds GMT. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at around $150.
