Nike Flyknit Elite Golf Shoe As if a sock-like upper isn't unconventional enough, Nike's Flyknit golf shoe also ditches the spikes in favor of a tank tread-inspired outsole.

Truth be told, we’re not sure whether we like the Nike Flyknit Elite’s looks. If you’re serious about your golf game, though, then this innovative new silhouette should definitely be worth trying, as it brings a unique set of technical features geared towards generating more power and enabling better footwork wherever you’re playing on the course.

Similar to the Magistra Obra and the LunarEpic Flyknit, the shoe sports a knitted upper that provides lightweight and breathable protection, along with a mid-high collar for gripping securely around the ankles to keep sand, dirt, and grass away. Flywire cables provide a supportive fit, locking down your midfoot for maximum stability whether on the fairway, the rough, or the green.

The Nike Flyknit Elite pairs that unusual golf upper with a new outsole that boasts “Articulated Integrated Traction,” the outfit’s new traction system that ditches the spikes in favor of a tank tread-inspired system. Nike claims that the finned treads offer continuous traction without sacrificing grip, while new channels on the sole allow for better balance while maximizing ground contact. The result is a shoe that decouples the heel and forefoot to help propel you through swings while keeping your feet low on the ground. Other features include a full-length Lunarlon midsole for responsive cushioning and no-sew mudguard for better durability.
