It’s hard to tell whether the Nemo Special Ops Drill is actually a handheld power tool or a newfangled futuristic weapon. I mean, have you ever seen a drill that looks like that?

Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if an alien brandished this thing in front of me and started firing lasers. But, alas, that’s not what it’s for. Instead, it’s really a power drill for driving screws, loosening them, and drilling holes, but with just enough design reinforcements to make them suitable for, as Nemo puts it, “professionals working in special operations and the special forces.”

Now, we don’t know if any military special forces actually use the Nemo Special Ops Drill. We guess it’s as good as anything available for the kind of missions they carry out, though. Sporting an all-black paint job with zero logos anywhere in its body, it’s as stealthy a handheld tool as you will find, making it perfect for maintaining cover in the dark. For sabotaging an underwater facility, it comes with a fully-sealed body (look at all those screws) and a saltwater-resistant finish, along with a valve and pump to help pressurize the drill while submerged at depths of up to 328 feet. Features include a two-speed operation, 13mm chuck size, 6.39 pounds of weight, dual LED illumination, and a pair of 6Ah batteries that let you operate it for up to two hours at a time.

Available directly from Nemo, the Special Ops Drill is priced at $1,720.
