Most of us have accepted the limitations of wireless headphones. Yes, it frees you up from being tethered to a phone, but you’re still limited to staying within close vicinity, lest have the sound quality degrade or hear absolutely nothing at all. The Master & Dynamic MW60 changes this by quadrupling the standard operating range of Bluetooth headphones, allowing you go much further away from your music source without affecting the quality of whatever you’re listening to.

It achieves this by using a powerful machined aluminum antenna that it integrates into the exterior design of the headphones, instead of tucking it underneath other materials. As such, it’s able to pick up and send out the signal freely, enabling a previously unmatched 40-meter range (around 130 feet).

Complementing the Master & Dynamic MW60’s extended range is an equally-potent battery life that allows it to provide up to 16 hours of music playback before requiring another charge. It will do all that while adorning you with its totally premium look, courtesy of a stitched, heavy-grain cowhide and lambskin headband, stainless steel arms, stainless steel folding hinges, and cowhide on the ear cup insets. Seriously, there doesn’t seem to be a single bit of plastic in the darn thing.

Features include custom 45mm neodymium drivers, tactile controls, an integrated omnidirectional microphone for taking hands-free calls, memory foam and lambskin earpads, and a weight of just 12.16 ounces for minimum heft during wear. It’s also got a 3.5mm audio slot, in case your phone is on its last few hours of juice and you don’t want to drain it further by switching the Bluetooth on.

Available for preorder now, the Master & Dynamic MW60 is priced at $549.
