Leather pants are great at protecting your lower body when you fall off a bike while riding at high speeds. Wearing those same leather pants to school, work, or a date, though? Yeah, not exactly killing it. Reinforced jeans, though, are a whole other story. Alpinestars’ new Crank Denim Pants let you enjoy the cringe-free versatility of jeans, while providing enough reinforcement to protect the knees and legs during a motorcycle mishap.

Designed for urban riding, the pants combine a hard-wearing and durable denim with aramid reinforcements to give you a much-needed layer of armor to prevent scuffs and scrapes. It does that while wearing just as comfortably as any pair of jeans, too, with an anatomically-optimized construction that makes it ideal for allowing free movement while perched atop a motorcycle.
