Technical shorts that will let you kick ass during runs tend to look like athletic wear, making them less of a viable option if you’re trying dress up nice but casual for a leisurely walk around town. That, however, isn’t the case with the Adidas Day One Ultralight Shorts, a pair of technical shorts that, the outfit claims, should let you seamlessly transition between running and leisure.

They’re not exaggerating, either. With its textured material, the darn thing doesn’t exactly look like a pair of running shorts, allowing it to go well with loafers and driving shoes. And, yes, it looks nice paired with your running kicks, too, so you won’t look like the guy wearing cargo shorts on the jogging trail.

The Adidas Day One Ultralight Shorts is made from a Japan-made 100 percent nylon ripstop material that wicks away moisture and sweeps sweat off the skin. It’s quilted, too, so it should be just a little warmer than usual, making it ideal for wearing out in the fall. A breathable synthetic bonding film ensures it wears nicely on warmer days, too, with drawcord on the ribber waist allowing to cinch it up for the perfect fit. Features include a pair of utility pockets out front and reflective three stripes on the lower back legs.
